I finally got some time to write about what I’ve been doing the last few weeks. I’ll have more updates for the last week of December coming soon.
Ivan and I went to my Christmas dinner for my work on December 15, 2007. Ivan thought it would be funny if we wore our Santa suits. We had Santa suits because we were going to do the Santa Run. Ivan had his hypnosis class, so we didn’t end up running. Our department all met at Macaroni Grill. We always have a great time together. We love to laugh and make fun of each other. I had my favorite dish Pasta Milano. Brandon and Rainee’s boyfriend Michail had a contest of who could eat the most food the fastest. Brandon ordered four different dishes and was struggling the whole time. Michail won that contest and then started helping Brandon eat his food. We played a joke on Brandon and told the server that it was his birthday. He looked really confused when they came to sing Happy Birthday. A lady sang Happy Birthday in Italian. They gave him this delicious chocolate cake. Mmmm!
Ivan wanted to go to the Circus Circus Adventuredome. We went on December 16th. We walked around and played some games and won a few prizes. Ivan won a big monkey that he named Dave. He put the Las Vegas shirt that he got on Dave. We went on a couple rides. One of the rides made me nauseous since I was starting to feel sick. We did the laser tag. It was fun running around, hiding and shooting people. They had a 4D ride where you had to wear 3D glasses. The chairs also poked you at certain times of the film. You also get shot with water at your face. I enjoyed the Spongebob Squarepants ride. It was a motion ride and it also shot bubbles in the air.
That night we went to Spamalot at the Wynn. The story is about finding the Holy Grail. The actor Randal Keith who played King Arthur was great. The show was hilarious. I love the crazy songs the cast sings especially His Name is Lancelot. After the show, we stopped by the bar Parasol Up. It’s located in the Wynn right off the casino area. The drinks served here are delicious. They’re definitely worth the $14 that you pay. We sipped them to savor the great flavors. There’s a great view of the Lake of Dreams from this bar. Of course, you can only see the show and not hear it. I read that there’s a Parasol Down bar where you view the Lake of Dreams show. I want to check that out next time so we can view the Lake of Dreams.
On December 17, 2007 Ivan and I went to go meet my brother and sister-in-law at Sushi Mon. My brother and his wife have raved about this place. The restaurant offers All You Can Eat Sushi for $25 per person. It’s great since you order sushi rolls and they make it fresh. The All You Can Eat menu also has appetizers like potstickers. The menu has 50 different types of sushi rolls. I ate so much sushi that night. There’s always room for dessert.. so we had the mochi. It’s so tasty and sweet. It’s a mochi shell (which is rice that’s pounded into a paste and shaped into a mold) and the layer inside is ice cream. We have a new favorite place for All You Can Eat Sushi now. I can’t wait to go back!
