A Grand Time

I met my friends from work at Grand Lux Cafe in The Palazzo on July 19th. Our friend Cory recently transferred to the Front Desk. So, we bought a card and signed it saying we’d miss him. Everybody seemed to be running late. Finally, everybody was all there at around 6:45 pm. All the people who came were me, Michelle and Clark, Rainee and Mikhail, Rainee’s sister Katie, Brandon and Cory. We ordered our food. It was nice to actually go out together. It had been awhile since we had a dinner together. I ordered the Pasta with Chicken, Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Mushrooms. It’s such a big dish. I didn’t even eat half of it. We had a good time just chatting and eating. Brandon was being silly making funny faces. Josh came late because he almost ran out of gas. I told the waitress that it was Cory’s birthday (since we were celebrating him getting a new job). The waitress Sherry brought out this pastry crust with whipped cream and a candle. We kind of sang Happy Birthday. It was too sad and nobody was really singing, so we stopped.

I can’t believe the restaurant doesn’t even give out a little cake slice or something. How cheap! It was a good night of food and lots of laughs.
